Ingredients:

  • 125 g sweetcorn
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 onion
  • 300g minced meat (any, it’s your choice)
  • 500g broccoli
  • 500ml creme fresh
  • 100g cheddar
  • 1 vegetable broth cube
  • pinch of salt

Method:

Peel and dice the onion, then fry it in a little oil until softened. Add the minced meat and cook until it changes color. Add the vegetable broth cube and a little water, then cook until the liquid evaporates, and mix it well. Separately, cook the broccoli and sweet corn with a pinch of salt until they are soft. Once everything is cooked, drain well to remove any excess liquid, and place the ingredients in an ovenproof dish. Spoon the crème fraîche over the mixture, ensuring it is evenly covered with no gaps. Sprinkle cheese on top and bake for 20-25 minutes. Serve hot and enjoy!

Q&A

I usually use cheddar cheese, but any hard cheese is perfect. Sometimes you can leave out the cheese as well.

There are many variations of this dish. You can use different vegetables, for example green beans, cauliflower, garden peas, kale, etc.

You can eat it on its own, but you can make some garlic bread, slices of crusty bread, or a fresh green salad with a light vinaigrette can add a refreshing contrast to the rich flavors of the dish.
