The recipe

Ingredients
  • 250 g plain flour
  • 25 g margarine
  • 25 g dry yeast
  • 25 g sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1.5 dl milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 zest of lemon
  • 100 g walnut
  • 100g sugar
  • extra melted margarine
  • custard
Method

Mix together the flour, margarine, egg, yeast sugar, milk, salt zest of lemon. You can use a machine to knead it or you can do it by hands. Leave it in a warm place for approximately 30 minutes. Form a 1 inch roll of it, and cut it 1 inch pieces. Mix together the sugar and the ground walnut. First dip the dough pieces in the melted margarine, after that in the walnut mixture. Place them next to eachother on a tray. Leave them for another 30 minutes to rise. Heat the oven to 190C / 170C degrees. Bake for 25-30 minutes in the oven until golden brown. Make the custard and enjoy!
